About the project: “Wren Kitchens 3D Planner (VR)”

Project goal:

Analyze and optimize the 3D planner for VR. Provide recommendations and suggest workflow improvements.

My responsibilities:

My task was to profile the project and identify the biggest performance bottlenecks. I needed to create documentation detailing all findings and provide recommendations for improving performance.

Challenges:

The application needs to run on a high-end VR headset with high-resolution screens. The scenes contain a large number of assets and variability.

Project overview:

Over 6 months, I helped improve their VR kitchen design and planning tool — letting users and designers plan kitchens in high-definition VR. It’s a strong example of how VR boosts product visualization.
