About the project: “VR training for Boeing 737”
Project goal:
Create VR training application for Boeing 737 engine opening procedure.
My responsibilities:
As a lead 3d artist of the team, I was responsible for hero asset modeling, texturing art direction, and project optimization for VR.
Challenges:
To port high fidelity desktop VR project to Oculus Quest 1 headset.
Project overview:
The project was divided into two parts. First, we developed a high-quality application that runs on a PC-powered VR headset. Second, we created a mobile VR version for the Oculus Quest headset (the first edition). For the Quest version, we essentially had to recreate all the assets, materials, and shaders. We employed various techniques to minimize draw calls and pixel overdraw.
